Questions people in this topic actually ask

Each has its own short answer, and most link straight into the articles above.

  • Skin & acne 10-12

Is it normal to have acne at 13

Very. Acne is one of the most common effects of puberty, because oil production rises before the pores are big enough to cope. It usually peaks in the mid-to-late teens and improves afterwards, though some people keep dealing with it into their twenties.

  • Skin & acne 13-15

Does washing my face more stop acne

No. Acne is caused by blocked follicles and inflammation, not by dirt. Washing more than twice a day, especially with harsh products, usually makes it irritated and worse without touching the cause. Gentle cleansing twice daily is the useful baseline.

  • Skin & acne 13-15

Why do i have acne on my back

The back has a very high density of oil glands and many hair follicles, so it clogs easily. Body acne responds to the same things as facial acne — some improvement takes weeks, and most treatments need several months before you can judge them.

  • Skin & acne 20-22

Why is my skin bad in my twenties

Skin changes across your twenties and thirties. Oil production and hormonal patterns shift, skin cell turnover slows, and breakouts that started in your teens can change shape or location. Adult-onset acne is worth having looked at rather than treated with whatever the internet suggests.
