Contact
There is no contact form here, on purpose. Here is why, and what to do instead.
If you need urgent medical help
Do not use this website, and do not wait to read this page. Contact your local emergency number, or go to your nearest emergency department.
For mental health crises, contact a local crisis line. In the UK that is Samaritans on 116 123; in the US, call or text 988; elsewhere, your health service will list a crisis line.
Why there is no contact form
A form asking "what is your question?" on a site people visit for health questions would be a genuinely bad idea, however well intentioned. It would ask people to write medical information into a website, which is exactly the behaviour this site is trying to reduce.
It would also require storing that information, which would contradict the privacy policy. So this site has no form, no inbox, and no user accounts.
How to reach a person
This project is a static site with no backend, so there is currently no staffed mailbox configured. Until there is, the honest options are:
- Corrections — use the correction page, which explains what to include and where to send it.
- Hosting and technical issues — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages through the account that owns the project, so technical reports go to the project owner rather than to a published address.
- Anything about your own health — please ask a clinician. We cannot comment on an individual case, and you should not be relying on us.
Leaving a published contact address would be a reasonable thing to want, and it needs a monitored inbox behind it to be honest. An address nobody reads is worse than no address, so this is listed as outstanding work rather than pretended to be done.
What we can and cannot reply to
- We cannot give medical advice, comment on a diagnosis, or interpret symptoms.
- We cannot help with an urgent situation of any kind.
- We can fix errors, improve confusing writing, and answer questions about how the site works.
If you are under 18
You do not need to tell a parent or guardian to use this site, and you do not need permission to email or write to us about something non-urgent. If a message involves your safety, we will involve an appropriate service rather than simply replying.
