How do i get help if nobody has noticed anything is wrong?

  • Short answer
  • Reading level 13-15
  • You do not need someone to notice first. You can describe what has changed yourself — 'I have been low for about three weeks' or 'I have not slept properly for two weeks' — and that is enough for a clinician to start with. Specific and time-bound gets you taken seriously.

What this does and does not tell you

This is general information, not a diagnosis. Only a clinician can examine you, take your history and run tests. The same symptom has different causes in different people.

If something is sudden, severe, or getting worse quickly, get medical advice rather than reading on.
